Rappenloch Gorge and Alploch Gorge: Natural jewel in Dornbirn

The Rappenloch and Alploch Gorges in Dornbirn are among the largest gorges in Central Europe. Within hundreds of thousands of years they have been cut into the hard limestone by the flowing water of the Dornbirner Ach. Today adventurous footbridges lead through them and past unusual rock formations. They are therefore very well developed and, thanks to safe and well signposted hiking trails, an ideal destination for families and hikers. The visit is free of charge, in winter the passage is closed for safety reasons.
