On the outer façade you will find the metre-long relief "Ludwig's Erbe" by the local artist Peter Lenk, which fascinates numerous visitors and causes controversial discussions.
Hiking in Bodman-Ludwigshafen
Picturesque hiking trails extend around the western end of the lake. In spring, a walk along the flower path from Ludwigshafen to Sipplingen is particularly worthwhile. When the apple trees are in full splendour, the eyes cannot get enough of the beautiful sea of blossoms of the orchards. A panoramic view over a small community on the lake can be enjoyed on the Höhenweg above Bodman or on a hike to the Höhengasthaus Haldenhof. Unfortunately, the Marienschlucht gorge and the shore hiking trail from Bodman to Wallhausen are closed after the landslide in 2015.

Even the youngest ones get their money's worth in Bodman-Ludwigshafen, they can let off steam in the new highlights in the Uferparks, the large pile-dwelling playgrounds in Bodman and Ludwigshafen. These offer not only adventure and play opportunities, but also world heritage to touch. The playgrounds are circular like a pile-dwelling village and an oversized robe needle forms the Hangelwald forest. For small children there is a great slide, a swing, a climbing platform and a sandpit. Sporting skills can be tested on a climbing wall and sandal tables and a rope train invite you to play. You can really get going on the big slide, which is located at a height of 3m. For the older children there is the Hangelwald as well as a water basin with raft.
